ARTIST STATEMENT

As a plein air landscape artist, I always want my work to reflect our ridiculously wild world we traverse through our modern lifetime. For me, each painting leads to  new adventure to an almost never-ending story that I can only hope the viewer experiences and understands. Before I begin a painting I enjoy being in sync with my environment so I could get a feel for what I'd like to paint. I primarily use oil paints (I've been known to switch to different mediums seldomly)and a small array of brushes to establish wildly confident brush strokes to symbolize the chaotic realm we reside in. My inspiration comes from the love of life and how it sometimes get striped out of people. I'd like to to find ways to give that light back to them.
